By age 25, AJ became Owner and GP of 161 apartment units across three South Indianapolis communities — Pinebrook, Library Park, and Cedarbrook — sourced off-market and direct-to-seller, with full underwriting, rent studies, capital expenditure planning, and equity waterfall structuring led in-house.
Professionally, AJ serves as Land Acquisitions Manager at The Garrett Companies, a Top-10 national luxury apartment developer, where he was promoted at 24 — the youngest investments manager in company history — overseeing the Southeast and Midwest regions.
He played a key role in restructuring the equity partnership for the Mia Rose 200+ unit luxury development in Indianapolis, securing 25% GP participation and creating approximately $1M of incremental projected value for the sponsor group.
